according to an article in yesterdays standard Angela Jolie ( the one with the lips) has bought a 11k clearwater TT. Apparently there was one on a film set she was working on and she liked the look of it. if she'd been in Hi-Fidelity she might have some thing to play on it.

Tone, I refer you to my comment in a previous thread: "Chicks like turntables".

It ain't just cos they sound better that they are better, old chap...

My flatmate in London looks just like Angelina Jolie....however, she has a cheap Sony mini system and I'm a married man :)

Here's another one for you Tone - my aforementioned flatmate (who is the spitting image of Ms Jolie) has a nickname amongst the, ahem, boys...... "BJ lips" :D

Hmmm...perhaps a touch of self-moderation might be in order here

Michael.

Are so you audiophile people DO have a automatic turntable then, you kept that quiet from me! Bet its the price of the house I'm looking at buying! Does look Dam cool though, thought it would be far to tecky for a chick, looks like something out of T2!

Lee, sorry to disappoint you mate, but that turntable isn't automatic in any way whatsoever. It's fully manually I'm afraid, I suspect the parallel tracking arm had you fooled, but they also appear on manual decks too. No such thing as a truly audiophile automatic deck IMHO.

Not the price of a house, but a garage in Sidmouth maybe! :D £7.5k. Best t/t I've heard yet, IMHO, I'd want one anyway even if it didn't look like an arty masterpiece of engineering that it is.

Hmm, so what do Ms Jolie and her new t/t have in common? A fair amount of acrylic I suspect! :p

D'oh so close, ok how does that deck work then? You can't get to the needle to place it on the record, looks auto to me.

Yes it looks cool, I'd like that a lot, would only sit there and look prity though since I can't operate a manual deck.
