    Hi,

Commercial Vehicle Direct have just quoted 600 quid on my transit.

    Full no claims/45 yo driver.

    I don't think so.

I always have used NFU, of late however they seem to be overly expensive and I am now wondering if I should look else where for a more competitive quotation. The reason I have stuck with them so far is they don't attempt to wriggle out of paying when you are forced to make a claim. Why not give them a try ?

I'm driving around in a Vauxhall Combo and have managed to get it insured as a non-commercial vehicle, as I only use it to drive to work and as a handy thing to move house/diy stuff around in. So if you're not using it as a commercial vehicle (you as an ex-gardener now full-time employed IIRC?) you might save a few quid by not insuring it as one.

Yes well this is perhaps a good point.

The cheapie quotes people are getting for a few hundred......what happens in a claim?

I'd like to keep it with in sight of 500 thoiugh...

    :D

I insured mine through the AA, with the actual insurance company being Provident. Not sure the AA are the cheapest but close enough for me at present. :)
