I would be grateful if for any recommendations for good sound quality computer speakers around £125 or less. I currently have a Creative soundcard from 2003 which i plan to replace with a Asus essence card in the future and currently have Logitech z-600 2.1 speakers would it be best to replace the soundcard first any thoughts recommendations would be very welcome.

Go for a Creative GigaWorks S750. Awesome and blasting sound. I’m sure you will love it.

If you can fit them on your desk / in your room have a look out for some second hand active near-field monitors on the Sound on Sound 'Readers Ads' and eBay.

There is currently a pair of Alesis M1 Active MKII for £160. I love these speakers they are crazy good for the money!

There are also some Fostex PM0.5 which I have heard good things about. £150.

Keep your eye open and you can have a bargain. Might sound better than your main system ;)

Also, welcome to the forum JagClaws.

I am constantly surprised at how good these Creative T10s are,

My Rogers LS5/9 aren't exactly in danger but I listen probably
more on my PC than my hifi these days. TV, You Tube, DVDs etc and have never
had to question the speakers, and have never wanted to change or upgrade
them, which in 3 years for me is a bloody miracle.

Worth a listen at least and no sub.:D
