bought some cds (brian eno) from amazon's market place and they came from the US...the total price was 33USD - but still had to pay 7:26 customs charge...I thought that the charge was 40USD or 18 quid..?? - tho, can the fluctuate depending on the currency rate..??

annoying tho...

also, bought a juicer from catterick market the other week - was only 20 quid, a phillips too...
they're spot on well worth buying...strawberry's, plums, peaches, nectorines, apricots, melon etc - are lovely...

blackberrys don't work too well tho... :D

Try buying items separately, or was it a boxset or something bulky? Buy items separately whenever possible as you can often avoid the customs charges.

I was thinking of getting a juicer after hearing that guy on Radio 2 the other week chatting about it. Sounded like a good idea and £20 is pretty good!
Heres the guys site... http://www.thejuicemaster.com
Probably worth getting his book. Good site too. Just looking at it theres some pretty expensive juicers out there! Might invest in the £50 one with a free book.

yeah, the cd's were only just over a fiver each...was only I ordered that I maight be have to pay..! sigh...

the juicer was 1/2 price...the juices are lovely, very think texture too....mind, you have to clean it machine soon after tho - before it dries...thinking of using the waste to make bread and maybe cakes...!

edit - got these ones -
juicer

with this free

...

My little calculator just told me that $33 is about £19.

Sometimes they're sharper than others; at a guess this was the Royal Mail, so the customs charge was £3.26 and the "handling fee" was £4 (that's right, £4 to read the label on the outside of the package).
