Hello dear fellow members. I am a newbie here and forgive me if I had posted this in the wrong section. I would be really grateful if someone could clarify a doubt:
I have a creative x-fi extreme gamer sound card currently connected via analog to my Logitech z906 5.1 speakers. I get precise/excellent 5.1 in games. Looking to build a new pc (amd cpu and rtx 4000 series GPU) in a few days' time. However the new motherboards don't have PCI slot so I can't be using my sound card anymore. I plan on running games on an lg c3 which can digitally pass even Dolby Atmos audio via optical out.
My question is - Will the current gen rtx 4000 series GPU output a better sound and positional 5.1 via the HDMI to the TV and from TV to the Logitech z906 via an optical cable.
