Croft valve pre-amplifier

This trusty Super Micro has controlled my also departing Beard P100 for 18 years without so much as a grumble.

It's a much sought after piece of kit, as this site well illustrates. It has always been seen in the audiophile world as perhaps the sweetest and most transparent partner to the Beard's magnificent oomph.

Ken Kessler wrote that it looked like it had fallen out of the Ugly Tree, hitting all the branches on the way down. However he added that its performance more than compensated for its eccentric looks.

Price: £300. Buyer collect from Bristol is my favoured option, but I'm willing to explore alternatives.
