These speakers have fallen victim to my very successful experiment in building my own active speakers. I would be tempted to convert them to active operation but they are too pretty and well made to risk spoiling them.
Lovely floorstanders in deep gloss rosenut finish.... big rich sound perfect for large scale classical, 89 dbW sensitivity but don't need a lot of power, 30-50W perfectly adequate for most rooms and ears.
Now... I am letting these go for a total bargain price for 2 reasons: I do not have all the packaging, only the outer cardboard so pickup (or possibly half-way meet) will probably be required. They are not small, and quite heavy so not sure what a courier would cost but probably quite a lot.
Secondly there is a chip on the veneer on the side panel of one of the speakers. The flash photograph below has highlighted this, its about the size of a ten pence piece but its not nearly so noticeable in real life. Possibly some furniture scratch cover would reduce its visibility but havn't tried it myself.
So in view of these I'm offering these at a total bargain of £1300. Retail is £3000, 2nd hand/ex-demo usually around £2k.
