I have checked a lot of manufacters, and there are a lot of designs

I have listen to tubes, but can someone tell me, if they can play complex music, and I mean copmlex

search for the song:

****************************************************
Infected Mushroom - The Sen
****************************************************
You can find it on kazaa but only in 128kb/s, wich is not good.
If you can buy it, then do it
I'm gonna check if I can give it to you (in 160kb/s master), cause you must hear it!!

ALMOST every VALVE amplifier cannot give this track to a good end

IF a valve amplifier can play this kind of music, then I'am convinced, LET ME KNOW

****************************************************
Ow yeah I forget to mention - tweeter music?!
search for:
****************************************************
PPK - Robotz (Russian Trance)
****************************************************

The best audio-system:

I think the best combo is:

A battery powered Tube pre-amp from WelborneLabs

A poweramp from Acoustic-Reality

Loudspeakers from Norh

A DEC-685 modified SACD player from Sony
(mods by decware; tube output stage)

A tuner from Pure-digital: DRX-702ES

****************************************************

These are the sites:

I would not do this If I where a company, cause I've named a lot off concurrents

If it is Lim, then i hope he is having trouble selling his gear - always rate the seller - IMO Lim is not the type of person I would buy any kit from.

Hay,

I have read evrething on you site

But, can I please see more pictures of your amplifiers?
I mean, the inside (there's only one pic)

you loudspeaker from 350 pounds, can you post some pictures, and what drivers you use in them

You say, that SOME solid-state manufacters use cheap semi-conducturs, that's true
What kind of components, do you use in your amplifiers
I really want to know, besides the silver mica caps, what other types you use and can I get it upgraded to better ones?
Can you upgrade them with elna cerafine

I would also upgrade the volume control to a goldpoint,
and the signal resistors to Kiwame,
Is that possible?

******************************************************
Can you amplifier handle complex trance music?
Infected mushroom - the sen
******************************************************
PLEASE search for it!!! It's audiophile recording, and I am not kiddin

If you amplifier can play that correctly, I buy yours,
this is one of the music that is hard to play, it's like driven the apogee's, the music is fast and complex, the track is recorded very well, the valve amplifiers that I heard, can not play it, maybe your can, let me know!!

Or try:
Noise Maker from Infected Mushroom, it's wide spectrum with lot of magic in the air, you must listen
I have to say that I normally not listen to that type of music, BUT that's REFERENCE music

PLEASE replay me, thx!!!

I am not working for hem!!!
I am 18years old and from belgium

I just want to know if they have a good reputation, but it seems not, I just want a fair answer

I already sent an email to him, but he doesn't replay
that's not a good service I think

Sorry Tom. Welcome to the forum.

We didnt mean to incorrectly label you as Lim valve. (Using moderators priveleges, I can confirm to the others that Tom is indeed from Belgium).

As you can see, Lim does not have a great reputation here. It comes from his confrontational attitude and outrageous insults that he posted over on hifi choice forum a while back. I have no idea about his products though, as I have neer heard any. Maybe someone else will be able to tell us if his amps are any good.

Regards, Robbo

that's honest

Well, have you got aleternativs for tube equimment?

I think Welborne Labs is good manuf.

And source equipment with tube output stage, have you got ideas where can I get it from?
I have seen Decware, that do a mod on a sony player

Share you ideas!!

Thx four your honest replay Robbo

Tom,

how are your skills with a soldering iron?

What about the hifi world magazine diy valve kits. Excellent value and performance from a range of prices from about £300 or so upwards. I made a Kit88 integrated amp myself a few years ago and it is very good for the price.

Cheers, Robbo

I am very good soldering person, done a lot off soldering in my life.

But the point-to-point wiring is un-tidy to me
That maybe sounds funny,

I have seen the site, and I think they aren't bad I think.

Well, then I sould opt for a pre-amp from WelborneLabs

The standard ultrapath with;
- Series Attenuator Upgrade Kit
- ASC Oil Ultrapath Cap Upgrade
- Extra Battery Supply Kit
cost: € 1170

And maybe a power amp from WAD

300B PSE Valve Monobloc Amplifier
cost 1197 pounds

I'm not sure yet

Can a 300b pse give a good bass and can it play complex music, and want to play all kinds of music on it

Update:
Have annybody got a site, where I can drop my song:
Infected Mushroom - The sen
It's 10 MB

Let me know

Thx, for all the replays :)

Tom
there may be copyright issues with uploading an MP3 or wav;)

I think for the music you are wanting to play, a broader aproach may be needed, i dont think you will get a valve amp that will do what you want at a reasonable price. I may well be wrong tho, as im no expert on valve kit. The valve amps i have heard are, to my ears, very musical at what they do, mostly lower tempo music, but they did drop out in the bass department.

Tom,

To be honest, for that kind of money (£1800-2000), rather that go with these kits I'd try to pick up a quality second hand valve amp like an Audio Research CA50 (which I currently use). This has a true high end sound, 50w/ch and has superb bass, tight fast and powerful - better than my previous quality s/state amps. And it will hold its value.

Perhaps not quite as much fun as building it yourself, but Audio Research make superb amps.

I still have nightmares about Lim even to this day. I walk into a shop and Lim is working there. I reckon he will be out of business soon myself. Its not rocket science that in order to be a good business person you need to treat your customesrs well.

About Lim

Ok, he can be strange person

But have you heard his amps, It appears that they are pretty good

I buy an amp to listen to, no more, no less

Have you heard one, please tell me your impressions, just once

thx for posting
