The article (Lofty FM) was written by John Linsley Hood.

Here is a experimental FM aerial that work very well with the Leak Trough Line Tuner.

I built one to try using a timber frame and cooking foil. Then in 1991 I rebuilt the antenna and the reflector using steel panels, it was the only antenna to remove the hiss on the Leak Trough Line Tuner.

On my screen I have great difficulty reading the numbers of the scan at any magnification. Is the square 1ft11in? How big is the hole in the middle? Is the reflector 2ft behind the main element?

Thanks

Hello Brian

If you click on the link in my first post scroll to the bottom of the page there you should be able to download the image.
I will also be posting on this site and PFM a link to the construction details that I've used in the past, I'm hoping to have them finished in a few days.

DIY Quad Aerial

Better late than never drawings for making a quad frame aerial.
It should cost you about £30 to £40 to make all the timber and screws were from Wickes and the heavy weight foil was from Lakeside but you may find it at you supermarket.

This is the design that I built in the late 80's and it work very well with my Leak Troughline tuner.

Happy Christmas.
