I fancy some class A tubes for the first time so my beloved ECS EA-2 is now up for sale. It just had a full service from ECS (invoice present) so it work just like how it should be. This is the version 1.2 which is the on going model that retail at £4000 (the early model have some interference issue I believe).
Sound? It replaced my GamuT D200 mk3 and clearly better than Densen Mono Blocks (B350) in most ways so I rate the ECS very highly. Excellent Dynamics, creamy smooth buy expressive Top end and It certainly deliver fabulously strong and timely bass lines. This is a powerful amp, 200 watts into 8 ohms and double that into 4 ohmes load will give you a freedom of choosing just about any speakers of your chioce. Demo is very welcome.
The overall condition is excellent apart from 1 very small mark on the edge of the amp. I have all original box and document but would not prefer to ship the 30Kg box unless I have to.
