fecking estate agents...

as some of you know - I'm hoping to move house...
I'm, presently renting a small place via a tinpot estate agent (who charged a 150 quid admin fee!) and the new estate agent (who only charged 60 quid for the same service) wanted the usual references etc - so I put the name of my existing estate agent down...

when they got in touch with the existing one - and the existing one are asking 15 quid to supply a reference...! and guess who has to pay that... cowboys!!
I'm gonna go around tonight and kick off...

I'm worried that they're gonna make some excuse as I paid 1 months rent in advance (meaning I don't have to pay for this month - want to move out within 3-4 weeks) and and I also paid 350 deposit...if they try to get away from that (I have all the paperwork) - I'll thrash the house up!

Your estate agent seems to be a stupid twat. All for £15 he is going to get bad mouthed to all that will listem. Serves him right. I expect you will cost him a damn sight more than £15.

the estate agent who I saw (who only lives over the road from the new house) is a meek middleaged woman - but the house is amazing...! she must earn a bob or two - unless her hubbie does...!

I refuse to pay for crap like that, even the lease setup on my property I am currently living in, I refused to pay for.

They said Sorry Mr ... but you have to pay, to which I replied I am not paying for it, nor am I paying for you to write to the references I supply, or the inventory. After a while they agrred.

As far as I am concerned, they want it done, they have to pay !
