first backloaded horn finished

hi

i finished to build a pair of backloaded horns, using a 8" coaxial driver.Still missing is the front wave guide, and the spikes.

I know BLHs have a lot of friends, but I have never found one where I didn't hear some bass problems due to effects in the changeover between direct and indirect radiation. Personally, I'd rather have a proper bass reflex.
 
hi Markus

each design has it's flaws. I however am impressed how strong , tight and thunderous bass sounds with this BLH. One thing i think could be made better, is to make a double BLH, with a second horn mouth placed above the driver, to aloud a better dispertion of the bass, like cain & cain does. I will design something like that, and hope to realise soon.
