Goldring cartridge

I won a Goldring 1012GX on feebay yesterday for the princely sum of £60.01 + £2.50 pp. Its desribed as recently purchased and only used to set a deck up. I thought it was worth a punt. It not what a want to be using long-term and my mate will happily buy it off me (not that he knows yet) so I thought it would be a decent start. Any tips?

Also, whilst looking at the goldring site I noticed they have a high-output MC for £130, how does this compare to the denon's?

I had a high-output Goldring MC once (and Eroica H or something?). It was awful. The Denons, in my opinion would eat it for breakfast lunch and tea.
