Is anyone else impressed with Robbie Williams' attack on the hypocritical media f**kwits who have been gunning for Kate Moss over her cocaine habit?

I've never really been a fan of his. I am now.

hmmm

Maybe you are onto something there, but then I guess he has had the press all over him too, so he knows what it must be like. so I am in agreement with you, oh, nearly forgot, he must be a good guy anyway - he has PMC's Lol.

I agree. And I bet Boy George had kept his mouth shut. The yanks will tolerate a lot,but they won't tolerate a celebrity being totally open and honest about drug use.

Totally agree ââ'¬â€œ I've really felt sorry for Kate Moss over this, it is typically aggressive and reactionary tabloid journalism and a deliberate attempt to ruin someone's life over a remarkably trivial incident - I think I may have once met someone who hasn't taken coke - I'd be amazed if you could find me a media type who hadn't. Yesterday's statement from Robbie Williams is the first thing in his whole career that was worth listening to, and good on him for saying it.

Tony.

Nope dont really feel very sorry for her cos its mostly her own making. Thats not to say i agree with the press, because i most certainly dont - the press in this country are truly awful. I only hope she takes stock of her life and gets herself sorted - ie lose the loser and start looking after her kid.

As for Robbie Williams, well he's still a talentless prat and one statement changes nothing.

I make no apologies for my point of view, sorry folks :)

One cocaine user applauding another - both of them are celebrities.

Cocaine use is illegal, thus Robbie W is still a twat.

Hypocrits the media may be, but condemning Kate Moss is still right.

Remember '2 wrongs dont make a right'.

If I owned a company making products for children I would not want Kate Moss advertising them, it sets the wrong example.

I don't give a stuff about what she does in her private life but she is no longer a good example.

I still think Robbie is a prize twat...
Just because he's noticed that much of the entertainment industry runs on booze'n'coke (cos they haven't got the balls for speed :D) doesn't mean he knows the meaning to life the world and everything.
All you've got to do is go into the toilets in any media bar, such as the Soho House, and you're likely to see media folks having a tootle - possibly the ones who've been most rabid in their condemnation of La Moss as well...
And as for the "just say no to drugs" lot, it wasn't that long ago that anyone who was upper class, and certainly most creatives, would be supping away at their laudanum, including Queen Victoria!

Robbie is a talentless c#ck, Kate Moss is a c*ck, the media are a bunch of c@cks. This whole thing is a major non-issue distraction which the media just loves to spend too much time on. Grrrr.

About 2 years ago Kate Moss sued the Mirror news paper for printing she had been taking drugs (she won the case). So IMO she got what she deserved.

Anyone to takes drugs gots what they deserve IMHO, that's the risk you take, if you can't handle it, don't do it, end off. She's in the public eye so should be setting an example, its giving her a decent living out of it, so its up to her to act accordingly, personally I think her and her "boyfriend" should be slung in jail or made to do community service, oh but their celebs, and can't be bough to justice a?

You say this like you believe that a high percentage of non-celebrity cocaine users go to jail or do community service. Is that the case?

I started this thread in the first place because I despise the hypocricy, spite and envy that our media displays, day by day. To be honest, I don't like seeing that same envy displayed on hi-fi forums either.

There are plenty of cases of celebs being 'brought to justice'.

And even more hypocricy in today's Mirror which has a double page spread on Kate's first photoshoot (aged 14). Nothing particularly remarkable about the pictures but it's like:

We'll rip you to shreds one day and then use your image to sell our paper the next

Michael.

thats the way the media operate...

you would hope that all these media moguls (or what ever you call them) lead perfect lives...

Absolutely, Michael.

Kate Moss (who I'm sure is no saint) entered the fashion industry at a young and impressionable age. It's an industry in which cocaine taking is rife. Catwalk models use it to stay awake, keep working and stay thin. The designers, photographers and others in the industry, including the media, also use the drug. Apparently the phrase "Do I smell Chanel?" is widely understood to be code for "where can I get some coke?"

Most fashion designers don't design any more. They rely on a design team and just get presented with the work for final approval. It's the designer's name that counts these days, not his skill. Apparently, one British designer who works in Paris is said to be such a devoted party animal that his backers, in order to protect their £3m investment, follow him round each night to make sure he gets home in one piece.

So, Kate Moss couldn't handle the long term use (I believe she's now in for a 'clean-out'). Few can.

go figure...

Leafing through a glossy last evening the first picture of Kate I came across was an advertisement for opium; no sorry - Opium.
