I just want to view some quick time movies, why do I have to download a 33Mb install of iTunes, I don't want iTunes, Geez, talk about taking after Microsoft ! :JOEL: Now I have more dam software on my machine I don't want/need!

You should be able to click cancel when it says its about to install itunes, it let me do that when I installed it a while ago.

I agree that is a bit underhanded, I put a post in on apple discussions to see if there is just a quicktime link.

Take Adobe - I get prompted to upgrade from Acrobat Reader 6.0 to 7.0.x - so I click the upgrade option (the only option) from the list in the left window - it moves to the window on the right and hey presto - the Yahoo toolbar appears too. Sneaky. I dont like sneaky.

They're all in it together aren't they, you don't have to be connected they just do each other little favours
