I was thinking about wiring in a hafler ambient surround sound system to my HiFi this is what I was going to use.
Colcolo 10 Ohm 20 W Wirewound Ceramic Cement Resistor, Symphony 400 speaker cable, Two Dali E50 speakers. Can someone explain a safe way to wire it into my system. I have a cyrus i9-XR amplifier and Dali Rubicon 6 speakers for the front .
Thanks Ian

Assuming it isn't hasn't bridge connected outputs, and is conventional Class AB, all you need to do is to connect your E50s in series, and connect the positive and negative to the red terminals on the Cyrus amp. You don't need the resistor, unless the rear level is too high, but then it would be better to use a variable resistor and adjust the rear level to taste.

If the amp is bridged or Class D (which are often bridged) you can't do the above. I've looked at the Cyrus manual, and there's no mention of operating class or method, but the internal pictures look like conventional Class AB.

One complication is the odd loudspeaker sockets used, but as the amplifier provides two sets of loudspeaker outputs that makes it easier if you have the right type of plugs.

Thanks for the information I was thinking about using a variable resistor to adjust the volume. Yes your right about the speaker terminals on the back it's z plugs I have some spare one so I'll use them and wire it into the two B positive terminals Thanks for your help.
