Thanks chaps. It was an evening of slow food, long wines and good conversation. About right for a 45th birthday (crumbs).
That is seriously great cake, Rob, but you should know that despite being velvety with a dark, chocolaty background, it is just a touch soft and smooth, and tends to crumble at the frequency extremes.
