What use to be Harman Kardon's top power amp? Was it the 1.5 signature power amp?

I have read that these power amps are no longer made anymore. Shame!!

My father is planning on getting NAD's new C275 poweramps, he wants to get 2 of them and bridge them. To drive his hard to drive Martin Logan Quest Zs.

At the moment he is borrowing my NAD C272 power amp which does a VERY!! good job with the martin Logans, much better then the Krell KST-100. We find the NAD to be more powerfull and faster over the krell. NAD amps have good life their sound also. The krell is just dull and too analytical.

Would the Harman Kardon signature amps also make a good alternative to the NAD?

Hi,

I thought their top amp was the Citation XX. This dates from the early to mid 80s. It looks llike a right beast!

I used to have a nad c270 with a c350 integrated - best system I've owned...the amount of grunt was unreal...fancied getting the c260(?) pre - but the c270 developed a fault so I just changed amps...took ages (and lots of amps) to get happy again...

I'd have no qualms about having that setup agan :)
