Has anyone used a PreSonus Central Station

There are some rave reviews of this on the Head-fi forums, saying that it is a great way to drive headphones, and that its quality corresponds to headphone amplifiers of the same price, and saying good things about its other aspects. As this unit could be used as the pre-amp of a hi-fi system, I'm wondering whether anyone can tell us what it sounds like in that role. It seems like a hell of a toy for its price.
