    Hi,
I was surious to know if ading a headphone amp to a pc sound cars output would benefit the sound?
Are PC soundcards already amplified, is there a way to mod the cards to bypass the amplification stage and use the head amp?

There output are only a little higher than a line level ....you have computer controll attenuation. I've feed a nad3020 with the computer output and used standard hifi speakewrs and head phones. But as the old adage says rubish in rubish out. ie the output is only going to be as good or worse than the source, not better.

    Yes

Some are, but they are too weedy to drive all but the most sensitive headphones.
