I'm looking at going to the show on the Friday. Anyone else planning to go?

More importantly, anyone got a spare free ticket? I remember being sent free tickets for the last couple of years, but have moved house since, so I'm guessing that the buyer of my old flat will have received them.

Hi,

I should be there on the Sunday. i can't make Friday and saturday this year.

SCIDB

Cansomeone take some good photos of the kit on display ? Particularly the stuff that sounds great and costs reasonable amounts. I know that one persons great is anothers crap but you get my gist I hope

I shall be there all weekend working with Simon in the Audiosmile room (room 23) and it will be good to see everyone, so do pop in for a listen and a chat.

I have two spare discount tickets (£4 off the ticket price) so assuming Mike takes one I have one spare. Pm with address and I post it asap.

A couple friends of mine will be making a short video about the show. Look out for it on the forum I will post some links when its ready.

I'll be there on Saturday. Hope to pick up some good music based on what's playing in the different rooms. Will of course be dropping in on our resident expert in the Audiosmile room.

Oh a new feature at this show is "Show Lectures" - can't say it sounds very appealing to be honest. Anyone know who the speakers (no pun..) might be?

sorry just realised you can log into the chester group site and download the lectures document which I'm sure explains all

It's Dr Christian Feickert speaking on "Correct azimuth settings, the impact on sound?"

Is that something to do with turntables?

Its a shame the guy who was commissioned to work for TacT on their new 'Room Perfect' system isn't doing a talk. He seemed like quite a knowledgeable chap at the show last year.

No idea on azimuth

They have three slots for lectures but onl one speaker lined up (for the first slot).

For the others, they are still looking for people to vote in with topic ideas. If enough ZG'ers vote, we could perhpas get the "Room Perfect" guy in to speak.

Actually with my limited attention span, I don't think I could cope with a lecture of more than 20 mins.

Wonder if the credit crunch will mean numbers are down compared to the last show.

Will probably show up for 11:30 on the grounds that all the keenies will be in by then - I can't abide with long queues.

I think the lecture will basically say that your system sounds best when you stand up straight ;)
