Hi Fi Switching Off

I have an Alba HIFi and the CD player has started switching itself off (power and all).
However the radio is OK.
Sometimes I have played radio for a day or two and Cd suddenly works OK again.
But then switches off again.

Any ideas...or is it dead :SLEEP:.

It would be quite complicated to track down the problem, so it's probably better to get a replacement. I'd guess it might be a bad solder joint on the circuit that moves around a little bit depending on heat inside the case. You could always take the thing apart and re-dab all the solder joints you can.
