Just thought it right to say hi as I've just joined. I've got a cheap system I'm in the process of upgrading: Sources are Sony Cd player, cheap but reasonable plus a cheap and nasty mini turntable that can take all the joy out of music. Amp is currently a Cambridge Audio A5 but will be changing very soon to Cyrus Pre X VS and SmartPower Plus combination. Speakers are an eBay bargain, B&W302s (I think) which were sold as 601s. For the rather low price I paid, they are stonkingly good speakers, I've not heard many bookshelf speakers that have clarity up top and good bass without issues. Imaging could be better but I'll wait until I get the Cyrus combo before blaming the speakers. So, I'm going to gradually and slowly upgrade the rest of the system, starting with turntable, once I've (or more accurately the bank account) has recovered from the Cyrus upgrade.
