A question regarding bluetooth speakers. Am I right in assuming the battery will last longer if you lower the volume.

Theoretically, yes, as less energy is being drawn from the battery. However, the difference will most likely be small, as much of the energy draw is fixed in the bluetooth receiver, DSP, controls etc.
