Message from James Palmer re: his Wigwam forum ...

"The hosts have pulled the site as we are hitting their server so hard it's taking down other sites they have. I am working on it now. Will be back ASAP"

(Hope it's OK to post this here! :))

Thanks Jerry, and thanks to ZG for not pulling this. Really appreciated, will reciprocate should the need arise.

It looks like I have a bit of a task ahead, but we will be back asap.

Thanks again,
James.

unless you've been banned and not told why !......

so if you do feel like telling me what I did wrong ...it must have been really serious as no warnings were given either !...

how about it james ?

Thanks Dev and all of the guys for letting this thread run. Between ZG, PFM and the Wam there is something for everyone.

Just a quick update the main problem is fixed, however I am taking this opportunity to change forum software. I have gone for vBulletin just like here, but fear not ZG, I will make sure it looks different enough.

Thanks again,
James.

I thought this would probably be a good chance to make the switch over! :) If you need a hand with any vBulletin related bits, you're welcome to give me a shout.

James will old PMs be lost in the changeover, or is there a way to migrate them? I have two parcels I was planning to send today but couldn't get in to get the addresses, so couldn't send a courier ....

cheers, Tom (Montesquieu on Wigwam)

Even better if new software means the email notification includes the text of the PM (like on here and Pink Fish) so that you can read PMs even when can't get into the site.

Thanks Mark, might just do that.

Am currently twiddling my thumbs waiting for some information about my SQL data base from the states. They are taking their sweet time.
