Hi, looking for some guidance! The player has been in storage for a few years and had no known issues, recently took it out to set it up again. At first it was playing fine, however this morning I changed CD and encountered this continuous clicking noise (see vid) on both cd draw closure and opening. The CD draw takes the CD, and has no issues opening/closing so it's not an issue with the draw/rotor belt. It seems to relate to the motor that drives the laser? Or the link between it and the laser. Video here, anyone able to assist with prognosis/whether it's an easy fix or more substantial issue?

If you watch the rack and pinion that controls the lazer head you'll see that it is unable to move the rack. The pinion is jumping the rack. That is the clicking. It looks like the rack is stuck on the ground guide shaft. The rack is at the end of its stroke.
