Been trying to find some information about the samples used by Seal, on the last song [Violet], from his first album [Seal].

They appear to be from an old film and I'm unable to find any info. on the net about them.

This has been bugging me for years as I am convinced I know where they're from :( .

Can anybody help :( ?

HA ! Found it :D .

Supposedly it's from "The Sicilian" starring Christopher Lambert and Terence Stamp.
Can't say I spotted Highlander's dodgy accent in there ;) .

I think they're great! The way they zip in and out of the water and catch fish and make such cute "Oink, oink" noises - oh, wasn't that what you meant... :shame:

A bit of googling, and apart from various links to "Velvet Plains Elk Farm" (?!) - I can't seem to find any references to the samples used in the Seal song 'Velvet'. How Elk's having anything to do with this I don't know... but well, it amused me anyway.

Voodoo, not sure about the song you mention, but I do have his self-titled album from about 1994. Still sounds good to this day - 'Prayer for the Dying' being one of my favourite tracks off the CD.

Nsherin, that's atually his 2nd album. Both are called SEAL but referred to as SEAL and SEAL II.

The 2nd album is probably my fav. out of the two.

Michael, you're nowt but a cheeky monkey :D .
Give 'em a try - you might be surprised ;) .

I really like his most recent album actually, called Seal IV. A friend lent me his copy and I bought my own soon afterwards. Theres some (very low quality) clips from it on Amazon here, although they don't really do it justice. It's pretty well recorded too.
