    Hi folks.

Looking at maybe making an electronic stylus cleaner from an old sonic electronic toothbrush. My theory is this - the sonic vibrations of the toothbrush are designed to loosen stuff between teeth, including really baked on stuff (technical i know!!!!!). Audio Technica made one years ago (a stylus cleaner not a tooth brush). I intend to take the cleaning brush off and somehow replace with a rubber pad.

Silly question, please feel free to scoff, laugh, explode with mirth!!, but has anyone ever tried this before and succeeded.
Can anyone see any problems with what i am proposing.

Thanks, and i await the witty replies.

    John

John, here's an idea for you to consider, don't bother with the tooth brush and buy an audio technica cleaner:duck:

Audio-Technica haven't made their stylus cleaner in years.

And the audio technica only moves the brush like maybe .25mm, just buy a piezo kit from maplins and glue a record cleaning brush to it. job done.

I read somewhere that one of those Beckham style Gillette Super Fusion vibrating wet razors made a good base on which to work. I assume that will move about a fair bit less than a tooth brush. I never saw him with bits of bog roll stuck to his face.
