Recent threads have a belief system slant - so I'd like to chuck in a question of my own....

Human cloning. Good or bad? Please include details to support your answer.

I don't know any details but from what they have just been saying in the news

Good;

(Potentially)Supports many difficult to cure medical comditions


Bad

Its meaning taken literally scares me rigid.

Needs to be done responsibly, which I suspect (at least in part) it won't be.


IMO its coming whether we like it or not.

I'll take two Pamela Andersons please. Kidding aside, for what purpose? Slaves? Equals? Bad idea [ except organs for medical treatments] IMO.

I initialy thouht it was a great idea - you can clone yourself and leave all your worldly posesstions to you in your will - thats not gonna go down well with your family mind!

You could even grow a mindless nonsentient 'you' and use the organs for future transplants! Cool.

Go even further and you could have 'internal cosmetic surgery' - just like we do today on the outside!

This my friends is the next stage in human evolution - this will happen. Only problem being you will have a bunch of rich superhumans in America, Asia, Western Europe, and then you will have Africa. That my friends will be a travesty.
