IFA show Berlin

Soz Rory, No digicam to hand.
IFA show report : EXCELLENT (for TVs, LCD, OLED, Plazma, games, incar entertainment, PCs, handheld devices, PVRs, phones, etc etc.
HIFI : SHITE.
OK, it wasnt that bad but high end audio looks more and more a niche market (that why we like it I guess).
Meridian - Demo room was total smelly pants which didnt do any justice to the spkrs and electronics. What could have been the best at show was far far removed.
HOT PRESS: New Meridian range at the show - not finished just yet. It all looks far far better than the current batch - I think a style guru has finally been hired!!! Nice.
Mark Levinson + Revel: In a word - BRILLIANT. They had to put up with some serious noise outside (local radio roadshow!) but I had a chance to get a good demo late in the day - AWESOME. ML transport, dac, processor, pwr amps, revel floorstanders (not the ones with the curvey fronts) and huuge revel sub. They played anything and it all sounded superb. I want some of this - but alas my wallet is unable.
Rest of Hifi: Shite on a stick.
Looking forward to the Friday26th renaissance heathrow.
