ok, yahoodie is interested in the arm.
mellstock in the mystic mat (paul, it's not glued, i think careful application of a wooden spatula twixt mat and platter might work, i think it's just jammed really tightly onto the spindle.)

the cart i can keep / sell on ebay, so that's not a problem.

so is anyone interested in the deck itself? anyone with a rega p2 or p3, for example, you can move your rb250 arm onto this for an upgrade.

    thanks, robert

    bump
    £70 for a low-use grado mm cart
£200 for an interspace, that's a big upgrade for all you out there with rb250 arms on rega's

So I can assume that the reason you made it rather difficult for me to buy was because you wanted an extra £50, cheers.

    no u cant and shouldn't.
having readvertised this deck in bits, someone is interested in the arm, someone else in the mat, a few queries on the deck, nothing for the cart.
ignoring those other people for the moment, i would sell to you for the price i originally offered, which i think was £450, no offers. the convenience of selling the whole lot to someone local is a major benefit, plus saves me having to physically split the thing apart and post to different locations.
i could demo in my study - it's a small room, you'd be sat at a desk with the speakers as close monitors. not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but manageable. so that would the interspace straight into the mm stage of a cyrus one, driving indigo monitor 1's.
    however ...
i'd have to pull out of 2 potential sales, neither at this stage £ having been agreed.

    Hi Steven

I'm very familiar with the Interspace, and just want to add my 2p..

For this kind of money, IMHO the interspace is better than anything I've heard.. it is (to my ears) the best deck to buy used under £800.

Hello Robert Cyrus, it would be wrong of me to accept your kind offer as you are dealing with Mellstock and Yahoodie. This is in fact what my post was about, not an offer to purchase. Thankyou anyway, Ben.
