But note, wood=paper??? so its not so far off after all....
Let's just say that I won't be rushing out to try them. I doubt that they could achieve the same stiffness to mass ratio or be as controllable in the high frequency break-up region.Originally posted by technobear
Intriguing! I wonder how they wood compare to the little units in 7_V's speakers![]()
Sake is supposed to be good for the complexion... Can't say it's done much for, thoughOriginally posted by 7_V
Mind you, I've found that Sake does indeed have the positive effects that they describe. I don't use it in quite the same way, however. :MILD:

Don't worry. They sound crap. It's a marketing gimmick. Victor do make some half decent speakers though.
FWIW, my guess is that they wouldn't sound crap but rather pleasant. I would also guess that they wouldn't be the last word in speed or detail, however, as the wood/resin mix is likely to weigh more than other cone materials.Originally posted by avanzato
Do they really sound crap?
I like the idea of 'odd' HiFi and was going to get the mini for fun as it's only £300. OTOH if it's no good I'll save the petrol I'd use tracking one down around these parts.
