John Barrowman New Album!

Is it all original compositions or just rehashed MGM favourites that i already have sung by a million other queens

:ot: ...more cheese anyone?

Across a number of musical genres, but predominantly sumptuous, streamlined pop, he lends his rich vocals to, amongst others, Cyndi Lauper's 'Time After Time,' Elton John's 'Your Song,' and Chicago's 'If You Leave Me Now'. His rendition of Billy Joel's 'She's Always A Woman To Me' is velvet and sensuous, as is his heartfelt interpretation of 'All Out of Love'."

meh....

(I'd imagine the effect like being force fed cream cakes whilst being simultaneously lobotomised.)

I'm amazed he didnt do "Feelings" or "Windmills of my mind"

Hell's bells! New albums from Jane McDonald and John Barrowman.:duck:

Is there a conspiracy afoot?

The Invaders - Alien beings from a dying planet their destination: The Earth

Their purpose: To make it their world.

David Vincent has seen them. For him it began one lost night on a lonely country road, looking for a short cut that he never found. It began with a closed deserted diner, and a man too long without sleep to continue his journey. It began with the landing of a craft from another galaxy. Now, David Vincent knows that the Invaders are here, that they have taken human form. Somehow he must convince a disbelieving world that the nightmare has already begun...

News about the Barrowman album was posted on his website, unfortunately they have not stated what the tracklisting is :-(, but they have said that Garey Barlow has written a brand new track for this album!!:D

He's covered Sex Farm by Spinal Tap Andrew, which is also "heartfelt, velvet and sensuous".

HI smeago

It all Rose Tylers fault ,if only she had not brought him back from the dead ( DALEKS don't like him either),and he lives on and on and on and on ,until he is only a head floating in a tank ,the face of Bo. I must say and i am not being homo phobic (please take note) The Captain Jack character be it in Doctor Who or Torchwood ( first season was crap, mostly IMHO)just isn't right for me. He frustrates me and i can't help but feel that he represents all that is bad (stereotypes) in the gay world IMHO.
As to John Barrowman i can never see me buying one of his albums ,but he does have a good voice . Its just i am not into his kind of easy listening musac. I would much prefer Paul Anka ( If you haven't heard his album ,Swing rocks you should try as IMHO its a great album, though you will need to like big band swing jazz)

Off topic a bit but i loved the Invaders ,the intro which Smeago quotes sets the scene for an intelligent Sci-fi yarn which has some great stories and an unusual style in that it has chapters ,very film noir in some ways . Roy Thinnes is very good as David Vincent and the guest stars are always good . I recently re watched the first season on DVD very good but no extras .

A Quinn Martin Production . Start the creepy music ........

Barrowman overall is a great artist of music and acting, and all else he does, i for one will definitly be buying his album as soon as it is released!

...hardly a bargain is it?

I do have a wobbly table at home though...

"...theres a bright golden haze on the meadow" - shut up.

Did anyone see Barry Humphries on Graham Norton a few months ago? He was fairly scathing/hilarious of Barrowman -

"You know there isnt a compliment you could pay John Barrowman that he hasnt paid himself already!"

Brilliant!
