Having to sell my floorstanding speakers which were THE speakers hooked up to Audiolab equipment when I was buying.

They are a great match, are magnetically shielded and come with their boxes.

They are the £100 dearer Rosewood/Cherry wood option (forget which they were called) over the Black Ash.

I am having to sell all my equipment to get a more girlfriend friendly set up which will be a compromise of a sub/sat for speakers.

The imaging and sound from these Kef's is amazing and are a great match to the Audiolab and Marantz equipment currently connected.

I am after £300.

Im interested!

But, which "new" amplifier would you pair with these as im led to believe that they need 4ohms from 150 watts max.

try something like a quad 909 which deals very nicely with 4ohm loads and would suit the kefs well.. also NAD silverline, Plinius 8200 and even a bel canto S300i if you like the class D thing.

Can't really advise on amp pairing. Know they sound great with my Audiolab set up and everywhere who sold audiolab at the time had them set up to these Kef's.

Will do. Battery for my DSLR is on charge but when done, I will be taking photos of everything I am selling in case they go on ebay or gumtree.

heres my email....XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX....we should chat....ive already got two of those kefs, but no amp, want to make it four, interested in the amp too.

Due to other commitments I have not been able to take any photos yet. I will be doing so Monday as I am away from home until then.

Speakers are at my home in Kenilworth, Warwickshire.

I will also confirm when I have managed to get in the loft that speaker boxes have not been chucked out. Speakers are currently in use with carpet spikes and I will need to locate the 8 rubber feet that cover the spikes for use on hard floors.

I have the Kef 103/4's.

The amps I used so far with them:

Cyrus III (50w into 8 Ohms),
Cyrus Powers in mono (I believe around 100w into 8 Ohms),
Trends Audio TA 10.1 (around 8w into 8 Ohms) and
Altmann BYOB amp (10w into 8 Ohms)

It all depends on your room size and how loud you listen, I say. Mine is 4x5m and the Trends (the weakest of the above) easily copes with the load although I never turned it up that much... I listen at lowish/modest volumes. I say any good/quality 50w will suffice. The 4ohm load seems not to matter too much.

I hope this help would be buyers.

Yup my Audiolab 8000A using both speaker connections to feed the Kef's never goes past 10 o clock.
