    Hi

I would like to do a full recap on a Krell KSP-7B Power Supply - I need to replace

    2 Sprague 4700uf 50v main caps

    4 RDE 1000uf 25v caps

    4 RDE 470uf 40v caps

I would like to replace with as good or better caps available in UK

    Anyone already done this.

    Cheers

There are number of obvious routes ......

but you could think about using 1000 uf 63v panny fc ....for both the sprague and rde ....you'd need to create a block of parallel 1000uf caps to make up the 5000uf [4700uf original] or even get up to 8000uf but no more !

the smaller value caps could be swapped for elna silmics or stargets or panny fc's ...

What diodes are fitted ? these can often give you the best bang for buck change.....swapping to schottky's or maybe hexafreds.

Does anybody know where from I can obtain a replacement toroidal transformer for this power supply?

    Two options:
    Contact Krell.
Look for a part number on the toroid and Google it. If it is an off the shelf item it should pop up somewhere.
