Mint condition UK 230 volt version.

Superb multi award winning valve integrated in pristine condition with original packaging. Comes with spare set of control knobs that are, in my opinion, a better aesthetic match to the Gold amp fascia.

    SME,

The CS-300x is the one to look for. The 300 is not as good.

Having heard all three intergrated models I disagree the cs 300 is the most musical and involving version IMHO.

Yes thats what Im saying, the 600 is an excellent amp and you have the advantage of being able to play around with two tube variants at the flick of a switch, bigger bolder sond yes but as for overall musical presentation and the feeling of sounding just right the 300 wins it for me.
I feel they got it right first time so everything else is fiddling with it, so to speak.

    Leben CS300 NOW SOLD/ Comparison with CS600

Apologies to everyone - I sold this item to Pdiddy some time back now.

Unfortunately I have had problems with my computer which have only recently been resolved.

I do not know how to edit the original post so it still keeps popping up from time to time when others post replies.

In relation to Pdiddy's observations- I agree that the CS300 is probably the most musical of the range. The detail, timing, timbre and dynamics especially are absolutely awesome. The best I have ever heard.

I "upgraded" to the CS600 because the CS300 lacked the "weight" I was after ( possibly due to my speakers being only 89db).

With the CS300 , the sonic image had great depth but for me too much width . It was almost as if everything was spread slightly too thinly without the height of my previous amps. The upside was that you really could hear everything within the mix and with the excellent timing it was superb in it's own way.

The CS600 has more power and presents a larger overall picture, it has great detail and a lovely fluid presentation - much the same as the CS300 but strangely the dymaics are not quite as good. For me it perhaps the best compromise although I still believe the CS300 to be more musical.

I would say that, in my system / room the CS300 presented things in "Cinemascope" the CS600 is more like "14;9 or Widescreen".

The other great plus of the CS600 is that you can tube roll and swap between 6L6 and EL34/KT77 configuration. It can also be used as a power amp ,,, I have recently tried the CS600 with a TVC preamp and the improvement was staggering. The soundstage beacme vast and everything seemed to go up a gear or two.

My next upgrade is therefore likely to be a Music First Preamp.

Sorry to go on a bit but the bottom line is The CS300 is sold but I can confirm to anyone looking for a Leben amp -the Leben amps are special things and worth the search/ expense.

I am pleased that Pdiddy really likes the CS300,

Perhaps this thread should now be closed or moved to the review section of the Forum.

    regards Sprogbasket
