Hi guys i'm after a tube cd player and narrowed it down to ;

Cayin CDT-17a
Jungson Moon Harbour 2
Jungson Magic Boat 2
Opera Consonance cd120-10
Original A6T
Shanling T-80

Or possibly an Original Davinci instead

Any one own any of these?
Any advice or alternatives be great

Cheers:)

Hi Keith, i fancy a tube one now, had solid, and heard my mates and liked the sound(though his is a cheapish one), got an old-ish Arcam CD72T at the moment, i'll be keeping that though.

Currently running with the Arcam a Yaoin/Yaqin MC100B valve amp (no laughing it's pretty good especially for the price) these connected to Aelite 3's. Also have a Rotel RC-03 pre plugged into the amp with a pioneer multi cd and my DAB, minidisc& cd rec.

Hi,

How about an Audionote CD 1.1X cd player at around £1350.

I haven't heard the Consonance CD120, but I have a 2.2 Linear that uses a single 6H30 in the output stage, sounds great to me!

There an ex-dem one for sale at AudioLincs for £1,095 which is £200 less than the new list price.

Ok due to circumstances beyond my control (car needs tyres) my budget just dropped, so the Cayin, Opera 2.3 and Magic Boat are off the table :( .
Any thoughts on which of the rest is best.

Ok options now been reduced to;

Jungson Moon Harbour
Consonence 120-10
Shanling T-80

And the Original Davinci 9.8

Any one have one of these and like to share their opinions, love to hear 'em

Cheers

I own a Shanling cdt-80.
It has been modded with a Chevron Audio clock/psu and I have fitted a pair of nos RCA valves.It sounds very good ,I prefer it to my Naim 3.5/psu combo.It is more comfortable to listen to over long periods compared to the Naim. Colin at Chevron can also mod it to run the output directly from the valves therefore bypassing the opamps for a better sound.
