One channel of the phono stage of my Musical Fidelity 'The Preamp' (with Avondale power supply) has gone quiet. Either I fixit or opt for a plug-in MC phono stage. Any advice on that choice?
If, as seems likely, I go for a phono stage what arethe forum's recommendations and what have you all got for sale?
I've read a few reviews and searched this forum for inspiration so I have a few ideas and I'm open to valves as well as solid state.
I have a Denon DL103 MC and I use bi-amped 12 watt valve amps (Edison 12s - the old Hi Fi Answerskitamp) into Snell Es; TT is an early Rock.
Budget £200..Listening tastes inc rock, blues and RnB and female vocals..
