Well, when you think of it, Joel started Groovehandle because HFC shut down over Christmas and tossed us all out (interesting to see whether that happens again!), and Michael kept the ball rolling, so it's Groovehandle/ZeroGain birthday time. As I've said before, this has become a splendid forum, with lots of varied interest, lots of stong opinions but not lots of the nasty snarling/biting/gouging as per other forums. I have no particular hi-fi brand to support, so a combination of ZeroGain and TonyL's Pink Fish covers pretty well all bases - or at least all bases worth covering, as far as I'm concerned. So, let me get in first and wish all fellow ZeroGainers a very merry (in any way you choose) Christmas and a happy, healthy and music-filled 2004.

No joke, this time of the year seems to be when awards get given out, and you win yours for your sterling work against the Forces of Tweakery.

I would tell you who wins Most Deranged Forumite, but I still have a short list of about 20 people, and can't decide...

Yep! Have a great Christmas and New Year all!

My festivities start today :D Last days work was yesterday!

Girlfriends Birthday today.
Friends kids first birthday toMOrow.
Annual Christmas Eve's drinks with mates.
Christmas with family.
Mates Birthday on Boxing day, so all go out over his way for that.
Then off to see older brother on Sat 27th for the night.

Sleep for 29th and 30th

Still no set-in-stone plans for New Years Eve yet. But I think I shall spend the majority of New Years day being violently hung over!

My tonsils are like golf balls at the minute though. Not a good start. Might have to miss the friends kids first birthday. That group of friends are a little odd anyhow. Perhaps best avoided :D

Have fun kids :D

Twas indeed a year ago, more-or-less to this very day in fact. Seems like yesterday.
We didn't have time to really think things through at the start and there was a rough vitality to the place in the beginning that I thought was really refreshing - and quite unexpected.
But in the end GH had to go - our lack of experience and preparation at the beginning, played a big part in its death at the end.
Not many people seemed to be able to see that GH had to die, but this was quite clear to me.
In any case, Michael has created (is creating) something that is far better than GH was or could have been. Congrats to Michael for carrying the torch and learning the lessons.
In fact, congrations all round and a very merry xmas and 1st anniversary to everyone (with apologies to Michael for hijacking the forum!).

Joel

Seems like it was only a few weeks ago

Thanks to everyone for making this place what it is and a special thanks to Joel for kicking it all off a year ago with GH, without which of course ZG would never have happened.

If anyone else wants an individual mention I'll follow the practise of the hihi mag awards and give them out to whoever pays me the most money :D

Michael.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Merry christmas and a (not too hungover) new year dudes!

Cheers for this good place to hang out, Michael...

Now - can I convince my mum to let me surf the net on their PC this coming week? Back in work on Monday :(

MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL! :D

It's been one hell of a year, can't believe so much has happened in the space of 12 months (at least in my life).

:MILD:

Merry Chrimbo to all and sundry :D !

As mentioned by many, this [first] year on the ZG has been excellent. Michael and all the forum users should be proud of what has been acheived.

Here's hoping to another good year for ZeroGain.

Hopefully I'll make a bakeoff soemtime early next year.
All the best gents.

 :guiness: :MILD: :D

Merry Christmas everybody. And make sure you don't blow your amps up by cranking your music too loud tomorrow morning at 9:00am!

And remember if your great Aunt Maybel gives you a Matsui clock radio for christmas there is always charity shops wlling to take it off you.
