I'm lucky enough to own 3 decent sets of speakers but want to keep just one due to space issues.
The pair I really like the most however, has one nagging flaw, to me the mid range seems just a tad "veiled" almost like it's coming through a fine gossamer scarf , not huge but just enough to be annoying.
If i could solve this , they'd be my speaker of choice.
Would an equaliser of some sort , maybe a Behringer or similar fix this, or is there another way?

If the GNP's then you need to tri-amp them! I had a pair and used 3 Leak Stereo 20's with them. A great speaker. They only cost me £500.

I regret selling them.

if its a room issue the behringer [deq2496] may help ...though what you describe may just be the vagaries of which ever speaker its it is..

might help if we knew a little more about your room size and of course the speakers !

you posted some more info whilst I was typing !

and the third set ?

My 3 sets are Talon Ravens (original 2002's) , GNP Valkyries (1990 ?) and Reference 3A Veenas.
I love the size, presence and soundstage of the Ravens , but I just have this slight middle issue.
I wonder if i'm just not putting enough current/power through them to make them fully open up.
My 2 amps are Michell Alecto stereo power amp (85W pc) or a pair of Audio Zone Amp 2 monoblocks (50W pc).
Maybe time for a big f**k off power amp ?
