Any more info on what the materials used are? The link doesn't say much about that.

this PDF in the description of the hyperspace explains which decks have oil pumping bearings.

Yeah I know the old ones do but it says the oil is 'specially formulated for the new bearing' and 'isnt recommended for use with other NAS models'. Who knows.

True ... but they'd be wrong - no turntable costing nearly $40k could be considered a bargain unless your sense of values were completely warped. It might be worth the money - to you - if you were fabulously wealthy, but a bargain no. Anyways - if you can afford to spend $40k on a deck, bargain hunting probably ain't your thing.

TBH, I suspect these types of deck are really just demo pieces. Its Tom Fletcher saying "just look what I can do if I don't have to worry about whether or not anyone would ever afford it" and good on him. It looks pretty cool to me and now NAS won't just be the company that makes slightly oddball but well regarded decks, but also the company that made the "did you see that crazy big $40k deck!! " as well. He may sell a few, but I don't thnk its really the point.

Its lovely - but really could you imagine having it in your home? Still - no danger of it ever getting nicked if the burglars paid a visit.
