You might be jaded of their tiresome "biggest ever sale" hyperbole, but they've got different stuff in this time round - lots of Warner / Teldec type stuff, with a lot of the mid-price Elatus CDs at £2.99 and quite a few Apex budget discs at £1.99, and a few Ultima Duos at £2.99 for two discs.

Bargain of the day though must be the Apex Four sets - four CDs for £4.99, in particular the "20th Century Music I" set which includes - amongst many other things - Boulez's superb Berio Sinfonia and Zehetmair's terrific rendition of the Berg violin concerto.

Had a look in the Edinburgh branch, and came away fairly happy:

Shostakovich Violin & Viola Sonatas Postnikova/Mintz for £2.99
Adams - El Nino for £4.99 - reduced from £31.99!
Dvorak Symphonic poems from Harnoncourt/Concertgebouw, 2cds for 4.99.

had plenty of other good stuff too...

Quite a few full-price operas going cheap too - Barenboim's superb Flying Dutchman for £9.99, and Harnoncourt's Aida at £14.99, down from nominally £30 and £45 or thereabouts respectively.
