I have 25m of this excellent OFC copper foil which cost just over £60 from HiFi Collective a while back. Ideal for Goertz-type DIY cables - there are various 'recipes' around the web. Unused and indeed unopened. (I'd been planning to make a pair of cables with it but am now building a pair of quad-amped active speakers so cable strategy has changed.) I also have 6m of 0.5mm x 35mm ptfe strip which can be used for insulation and was surprisingly expensive!
How about £35 for the foil or £60 for both? Add a few rolls of plumbers' tape and you'd have an excellent pair of cables.
