Anybody going to Munich show next week?

I am thinking about it, but have never been before. Where is the event held? All I can see on the site is it's at the 'M,O,C' but where the hell is that in relation to the airport?

What is the best place to stay for a couple of days if you fly there? Cheap is good! :D

Germany's second-biggest airport guarantees excellent continental and intercontinental air connections. It is only a 20-minute drive by car from the airport to the M,O,C, Order and Event Center in the north of Munich.

It is also easy to reach by public transport.

Just beneath the central area of Munich Airport there is the urban railway (S-Bahn) station of lines S1 and S8. Every 10 minutes there is a S-Bahn service to the city centre.

From the airport to the M,O,C, you can choose between 2 routes:

Option 1 ââ'¬â€œ S1, U6: Take the S1 from the airport to Marienplatz. There you change to the underground U6 (Fröttmaning/Garching-Forschungszentrum line) to Kieferngarten. From there it is a 5-minute walk to the M,O,C,.

Option 2 ââ'¬â€œ S8, U6: Take the S8 from the airport to Marienplatz. There you change to the underground U6 (Fröttmaning/Garching-Forschungszentrum line) to Kieferngarten. From there it is about a 5-minute walk to the M,O,C,.

Fare: We recommend to use a day ticket (EUR 9). tion, which is just a short walk from the M,O,C,.

Thanks for finding that Hippy!

David, I don't drive at all, so I have one less cost than you right there ;) I prefer to take my private chopper, there is a convenient landing pad on the roof of Tesco which is in the centre of town.

If you can make it, it's certainly worth the trip, Simon. Quite different from the UK shows. I'll be there Thursday and Saturday.

For accomodation, look at hrs.de, there's no such thing as a cheap hotel in Munich, but there are some which are not too outrageously priced.
