Good on them - if it is what well awf folk want and sounds good enough. I'll have them to go with my Aston, Bentley and gold Purdey's. Now for speakers - well def. some Westminsters for the panelled drawing room and some Churchill's for the games room. Perhaps these amps are a bit too powerful though...

Bully for you.

Hopefully MF know something that the vast majority of business leaders don't :MILD:

yeah, but the people who buy this most likely won't be affected by the credit crunch anyway... :)

That's my point Mr C - this is (as far as I know) the first time MF have ventured into the lofty heights of truely esoteric gear - just seems a strange business decision/strange timing that's all.

hi legzr1, maybe it is. but i think that new toys will make some people forget this gloom and stay at home and enjoy, maybe i am wrong, but i love my music room and at times when you want to get away from the missery of the world , i lock the doors and enjoy music, but that is me addicted to hi-fi-.

I'd call you an addict too if you spent over £30K on some amplification :)

I'm comtemplating spending nearly £1K on a pre-amp and it's making me nervous.....

Looks good provided they don't knock half off the last twenty! (based on previous MF form) ;)

They might be thinking that the seriously rich are the only ones who'll be spending anything at all so they may as well try and snare a few.

Don't worry it'll be £2.50 in a year or so...

Sorry, I like MF gear and have owned it, but to buy new at full price, seems madness. MF are as likely to knock them out of thier office this time next year at 1/2 price if they can't get enough buyers. A shame but true.

Speaking of new super expensive amps, Nando arn't you a Chapter dealer? Do you know anything about thier new gear - £13k each mono's?
