Hi

There is a club I want to join which seems to have a web site on "myspace".

A member replied to my enquiry, which I retreived once......but the link won't work now.

This is tricky because I don't want to have to ask them again.

I can get into the clubs my space web site but every time I go to sne d a message it asks for a verification code. When I put it in ...it asks for another....and so on!

Is there something I am missing here?

Any clues?

ps I gather ms doesn't like internet explorer 7.

No sure which have got.
 
not a subscriber to - but would assume you at some point received mail with verification after reply.. to MS, if so and you still have it you could try to re-send/re-verify..just a guess :)
 
I have pass word to the site.....which they have reminded me.

This makes me think I am already a member.

Why then do they keep asking me for a verification code? Even when I've just put one in?
 
Confusing :) did they at some point send you an email that you had to reply to in order to activate/open your account..just that if so - you could try re-sending, if you haven't logged in for sometime it may have frozen your account/membership..so re-send to re-activate.
Did you sign up to MS ?
 
I just tried signing up ....my e mail is already in use...so presumably i've done it in the past

I can't see readily the origional e mail

I'll have another look
 
Yes, this seems to be a privacy thing.

I think ts a shame its not clearer on the forum that certain levels are locked from access. I would have saved me some time if that were so.

I contacted the forum full of enthusiam for the activity.....Spending a few hours trying to contact someone who doesn't really want to be contacted isn't really helpful.

I wouldn't recommend "myspace" as a helpful friendly forum.
 
yeah..sure MS but what level..name, (sub forum/Colour) if poss please :)

Right this is the stuff I suspected....levels etc.

Unfortuaently I don't know as i can't get into at all.

I must have started the accounted some time ago, and am no longer in possession the those details. It won't let me get into my profile 'cos it keep blocking me out.

It tells me to log in.........and.....


"Too many failed login attempts for this email. Please enter verification code."


so, I enter the verifcation code....and it gives me another one.....etc etc.


Its not the 15 minute thing by the way.....I just looked now and says that after the computer has been off for a coupe of hours.

Clues anyone?

Delete all cookies and cache.

edit is cache the same as temp int files?
 
Tell MS that you have forgotten your password and they'll send it to your registered e-mail address, that or do a change to a new password :)
 
I tried signing into my brothers Myspace (the one in my sig if anyone's interested in listening ;) ), for the first time in aaaaaaaaaaaages last night. I had to enter the vlaidation code thing from the image. Is that waht you meant? If so the only thing I can suggest if making sure you enter it correctly with capitals and such.

Yes.

It says its not case sensitive....but I have done both.
