new front end recomendations

hi everyone,
i have recently obtained some bryston powerpacs for my pmc ib1's which i am very pleased with. they are certainly more impressive than my previous audiolab power amps.
im am currently using marantz cd63 ki sig for cd playing and an audiolab preamp, these 2 components are going into another room with the audiolab power amps so i am looking for a new front end.
they need to be from one manufacturer only and a matching dvd player would be nice but not essential. balanced outputs if possible and a trigger for my hidden powerpacs is essential.
fairly general music tastes.
approx £1000 each component

Can the CD player take a DAC?

This would leave your options open to either -

a) use your cdp as a transport
b) get a dedicated transport
c) get a wireless music router, store the music on the pc and put it through the new dac.

This is pretty much the 3 things that nearly everyone does.

So... how about a DAC then?

As to 'what's the best 2nd hand DAC for 1k? that's another question I reckon!
