For sale, my pair of passive Linn Kabers, serial numbers 11153 and 11154.

Here's a pretty poor pic of them:

The speakers are in black finish, and come complete with ku-stone stands. Very early Kabers weren't always supplied with them, and I understand that they make a significant difference to the performance.
There are some minor cosmetic marks on them (they are a good 10 years old, and it's normal kind of marks).
The tweeters were upgraded to neodymium spec units by Grahams, which made a massive difference to smoothing out the top end (IMO rather spitty on the older ceramic units).

I've owned the speakers for about 4 years now, and with my older Naim setup simply never found anything I'd rather have on the backend. They are a real full bandwidth design with wonderful coherance across the frequency range. Personally I don't like most ported speakers and love the way that the bass kept in tune on the Kabers.

The kabers are a 3 way design which is confirmed by the PDF copy of the manual that I can print for any purchaser. Active cards can be bought for the speakers, and I know someone who swears by his active versions.

The kabers were a mid to high end speaker from Linn when introduced, and retailed at going on for £2k when new. They were roughly twice the price of the similarly sized Keilidhs, and substantially better in their control and resolution.
I used them for both stereo and AV duties and they shone in both roles.

I don't have the boxes, so the buyer would need to either collect from Docklands area of London, though I may be able to deliver to a location within the M25.
As I'd never buy any expensive kit without a dem, I'm more than happy to set them up for a listen for anyone really interested.

Cost £450.

To pre-empt any questions on why, it's simply been a move away from flat to a more round earth solution. I used to a run a full Naim set of electronics into these and now use a NOS Dac with a Belcanto Evo amp. As such, the Kabers weren't as synergistic and have been swapped out for a pair of rather nice horns.

Any questions, please ask.
