Spiralling cost of re-roofing my cottage forces me to sell these drivers before I get a chance to house them in a suitable cabinet (see Speedy Steve's GRF thread in DIY section).

I've put them on ebay as I need to sell sharpish, but if anyone is interested then I'd be very happy to do a deal here instead.

Summary: Reconed by Lockwood Audio in 2001 + crossovers checked and serviced at the same time. Bit of a difference in serial numbers so presumably drivers of slightly different age (hence two items on fleabay) but both drivers early examples and in excellent physical and working condition, and sounding identical o my ears.

I'm hoping to get £600-700 for the two on ebay, but more than happy to sell for £600 o.n.o. here instead. Postage extra.

See links for pics of the drivers on fleabay:

    pm me if interested! :)

Could be a sound financial investment; someone on here recently asserted:

"Consider also (best idea IMO!) buying a pair of Tannoy dual concentric 15" cones and getting some GRF cabs made from the chap on here.
A pair of repro GRF's will fetch 2.5-3k used, so its not necessarily true that DIY does not recoup its costs."

That someone was me ! :D

Rectangular GRF cab is an easy build.

    3 days carpenter £450
    Materials £200
    Drive Units and crossovers £600

    How much loudspeaker for £1,250?!?!?!

Personally, would spend that bit more on labour and materials and go with the corner GRF or even Autograph.

Corner GRF's and Autograph's are HUGE though :D!

Rect' GRF's was my intention, and in fact probably still is but I'll have to use my 12" Golds instead in perhaps slightly scaled down versions.

Still, like you say, a lot of loudspeaker for your money.
