does it have left and right line inputs for connecting to a stereo amp?
Or is it only for AV amps with sub output?

Hi Max, it has both High (speaker L/R) and low (phono) inputs and you can use both simultaniously. It has auto on when it detects an audio signal. And I have 2 of them if you would like to have a sub on each channel.
